Summer Wind is a large condominium complex on the west side of North Aurora. Summer Wind includes 286 townhome-style condos located on the south side of Oak Street just west of Randall Road. The condos of Summer Wind were built by Bigelow Homes – a popular chicago-area home builder – between 1994 and 2001. Sizes range from 780 to around 1700 square feet and the models include the Waterford, Marquis, Prairie, Morning Mist, Meadowbrook, Springbee, Nightfall, Summerglen, Royale and Evening Star . Many of these units include finished lower levels that are sometimes referred to as basements, but aren’t usually more than 50% below grade. The community is located close to major transportation outlets like Randall Road and I-88 and is also convenient to local shopping along the Randall Road corridor.
