Rollingwood Colony Subdivision – Rollingwood Colony Townhomes
The Rollingwood Colony Subdivision is a small “pod” of perhaps 7 groups of attached homes located to the north of Galena road just west of Randall Road on the west side of Aurora. A relatively new subdivision, Rollingwood Colony was largely built in 2004 to 2005 and although classified as condominiums, the homes really feel like townhomes with attached garages and some with multiple stories. One of the best aspects of the Rollingwood Colony Subdivision is the size of these homes. Some of the smaller homes average 1290 square feet and the larger are upwards of 1635 – in the condo/townhome world, these are large! This proves you don’t have to sacrifice space for attached-style living. Homes in Rollingwood Colony Subdivision also range from 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms to 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms – many feature vaulted ceilings and other popular amenities.
Some of the main streets found in the Rollingwood Colony community include Fairwood Place, Brightwood Place and Stonewood Place. The Rollingwood Colony subdivision is located just down the street from a large shopping center that includes a Wal-mart, Blockbuster Video, several banks as well as small shops. Restaurants in the immediate area include Colonial Inn, several fast food venues and the Orchard Valley Restaurant just up Orchard Road. For grocery shopping, a Jewel is located conveniently just down Galena Boulevard to the west. Local hardware stores include an Ace Hardware, Home Depot and Lowes. A Walgreens drug store is also conveniently located on the corner of Indian Trail and Randall Road.
