Aurora East Side Real Estate
Aurora’s east side streches from Route 59 in the east to the east bank of the Fox River in the west. North-to-south, it includes the area roughly between Route 30 on the south and Butterfield Road in the north. Homes on the east side of Aurora range from condos to historic Victorian-stylehome. Of the east, west and downtown areas, the east side of Aurora is perhaps the largest in terms of both area and homes. It includes two school districts – District 131 on the near east side and IPSD District 204 on the far east side. This area also includes at least one of Aurora’s major historic property districts – the Near Eastside Historic District.
The homes on Aurora’s east side are known for both their size and value. In the Fox Valley region, there are few communities that really offer the size and style of homes that Aurora’s east side does for such reasonable prices. The east side of Aurora is also home to several country club communities including the Stonebridge Subdivision and Country Club. There are several active adult communities located on Aurora’s east side including Stonegate West and Carillon at Stonegate.
The east side of Aurora isn’t lacking in the recreation department. The large Phillips Park is located on Aurora’s east side and includes a sunken gardens, zoo, picnic shelters, running trails, a museum and mastadon lake. You can also find the Phillips Park Golf Course as well as an Aquatics Center in this area. All of these facilities are maintained by the Fox Valley Park District and offer fantastic opportunites for families to relax and spend time together. Shopping on Aurora’s east side can be located along Route 59 on the far east side, near Downtown Aurora on the far west side as well as in the Fox Valley Mall located on the corner of Route 59 and Ogden.
