McCarty’s Mill Subdivision – McCarty’s Mill Homes
It’s hard to find where McCarty’s Mill Subdivision ends and Arrow Wood begins. That’s because they’re a part of the same original parcel of land originally owned by Pulte homes. Located on the SE corner of the intersection of Randall Road and Indian Trail, McCarty’s Mill subdivision was constructed after Arrow Wood but by a different builder. Where Arrow Wood includes many larger homes – some over 2,000 square feet, many of the homes in McCarty’s Mill subdivision are smaller single family homes – similar to the types found in Golden Oaks just across Indian Trail. Entrances to McCartys Mill subdivision can be found on the east side of Randall Road just south of Indian Trail and all of the streets connect with the Arrow Wood to the east. McCarty’s Mill homes are also known as great starter homes. Values range from the low to high 200’s.
Some of the main streets found in McCartys Mill subdivision include Yellowpine, Cottonwood and Golden Oaks Parkway. The close proximity of Arrow Wood means that this and McCartys Mill subdivision shares the same community features – including the large Arrow Wood Park just south of the intersection of Indian Trail and Elmwood. Area shopping venues include a Walgreens on the corner of Indian Trail and Randall Road, a Jewel down on Route 31 north of Indian Trail, a Lowes and Home Depot west on Indian Trail as well as several fast food restaurants.
